By and large, City of London is a lover of sports. It will be the first city in the entire world to host the Summer Olympics for the third time. It hosted the Games in 1908 and 1948, and will do so again in 2012. Additionally, the city hosted the British Empire Games in 1934.
Football is incredibly popular in London. Hence, the city has 13 league football clubs, including 5 premier league clubs. It also has 4 rugby union teams; although the other 3 now play outside Greater London. Additionally, there are 2 professional rugby league clubs in London. The 2 notable stadiums in London are the 90,000-seater Wembley Stadium and the 84,000-seater Twickenham Stadium.
Cricket is also another highly famous sport in London. There are 2 test cricket grounds in the city, namely Lord’s in St. John’s Wood and The Oval in Kennington.
I am very new to the internet and needed to read up on this subject. Thought it was a great article very well written and informative. I will definitely be coming back to your blog to read more articles as i adored this one..
What a well written article. I spend days on the internet reading blogs, about tons of different subjects. I have to first of all give kudos to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an amazing post. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only a few posses and frankly you have it. The combination of informative and quality content is definitely extremely rare with the large amount of blogs on the internet.
Great post, thanks for this.
